At Washington School we embrace and implement a data-based, continuous improvement approach for inclusive practices. This approach is a commitment to evidence based best practices, continuous data analysis, early intervention, strong core curriculum, and ability grouping as we integrate all content areas with our instructional focus and school-wide improvement goals concentrating on guided reading, open response, and vocabulary development. These areas are targeted through our best practices of summarizing and note taking for guided reading, using the Frayer Model for vocabulary, and non-linguistic representation for open response.

We have and will continuously work towards overall school success towards our CPI goals of 78.1% in ELA, 79.6% for Math and 75.7% for Science. We ensure that all available resources are utilized towards overall school improvement in teaching and learning in our goal focused, adaptive, and cohesive community.
